During our branch’s June 4th general meeting, we made a presentation to our scholarship winner, Alyssa Gervasoni, and also provided Breanna Inouye of Soles for Souls with a donation.
The meeting also featured both good food and entertainment with a “hearty hors d’oeuvres” potluck dinner followed by a viewing of Part 2 of the movie “Visions of Italy”, which features beautiful aerial views of the regions of Italy.
Our branch has been encouraging members to bring at least one non-perishable food item to each general meeting for our ongoing contributions to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul. It’s an easy way to help those in need, and you might consider doing the same for a similar organization within your parish.
Our next general meeting is scheduled for August 6th, as we’re taking the month of July off to let members relax and enjoy their summer vacations.
